Abstract

The study to determine the probability of occurrences of ferroresonance in the first section of the circuit MU4073 of Jagüey Grande is presented. This section goes from the distribution substation to the first bank of single-phase transformers. The conductor used is ACSR 150 mm2 and the support structures are predominantly type A with AC70 cable protector. As we did not have the data of the specific transformers, parameters of three similar transformers from the same manufacturer were used. The analysis is performed for three possible connections; star with isolated neutral, with grounded neutral and delta. In addition, two configurations will be required for each case; bank of transformers energized and opening of one of the phases and bank of transformers de-energized and closing of one of the phases. The results show that in some configurations there is a danger of ferroresonance occurrences and in others, the phenomenon is improbable.
