Caracterización y análisis del campo magnético ambiental en un taller de reparación de equipos electromédicos
Characterization and analysis of the environmental magnetic field in an electromedical equipment repair shop
Abstract
According to reports from the World Health Organization, electromagnetic fields are the cause of health effects. It is for this reason that strict control must be maintained over radiation without ion emission from equipment in medical equipment repair and maintenance workshops due to the large accumulation of these, which operate with electrical energy and emanate low-frequency electromagnetic radiation. This action should be carried out especially in countries where there are no regulations on this subject. In this work, the Provincial Center of Electromedicine was selected, where it was carried out, in five places of interest, for five consecutive days, using a gaussmeter. Averages are calculated to represent the ambient magnetic field using color maps. The results obtained and the annual electromagnetic exposure did not exceed those recommended by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection.
