Influencia de la carga de los vehículos eléctricos en las redes de distribución secundarias
Influence of electric vehicle charging on the distribution networks
Abstract
For several years, the circulation of electric vehicles has increased in the country, so it is necessary to study their impacts on secondary distribution networks. In the process of charging the batteries, controlled power converters are used, so these charges are considered non-linear and cause the occurrence of power quality problems. At work, the effect of battery chargers used in electric tricycles and motorcycles is studied by an experiment. The results reveal that the equipment used during battery charging produces harmonics in the currents, with high values of harmonic distortion. In addition, an analysis of the energy and fuel consumption of these vehicles is carried out, demonstrating that electric vehicles constitute an alternative to transport that presents lower fuel consumption, lower costs for the user and lower environmental impact.
