An approximation to the Advanced Metering Infrastructure in Smart Grid

Abstract

The Advanced Measurement Infrastructure is a platform that crosses the borders of the generation, transmission, distribution and marketing of electric company`s energy. Included a change in the mentality of consumers and in the design of equipment, devices and applications used by them. The use in the infrastructure of information technology and communications, the Internet of things, and different communications media and platforms, will allow true dynamic and real-time control of the use of electrical energy. In the reflection article, a perspective is sketched to understand the new norms and disciplines that affect both, urban and rural design and in general the social life of citizens, related to each other to achieve efficient use of energy and a substantial change in the country's energy matrix.
