Análisis del comportamiento de la gasodinámica en chimeneas industriales
Analysis of the behavior of gas dynamic in industrial chimneys
Abstract
This study analyzed the behavior of internal gas dynamics in an industrial chimney with two inflows, as well as its influence on the accumulation of soot in industrial chimneys and its impact on safety and operational efficiency. The objective was to identify critical storage areas and propose improvements in design and operation to reduce them. To perform under different conditions of mass flow, temperature and geometry computational simulations of fluid dynamics were used The results showed that abrupt geometric changes promote the creation of turbulence zones, promoting the deposition of particles and that asymmetric flow configurations greater than 50% difference generated recirculation zones conducive to the accumulation of soot. The most important conclusion establishes that operating with a combined power of more than 300 MW, distributed in a balanced way, allows achieving the recommended exhaust speeds and reducing risks.
