Cópulas Arquimedianas para la evaluación de la confiabilidad de LEDs empleados en iluminación
Archimedean copulas for reliability evaluation of LEDs used in lighting
Abstract
Due to the complexity of LEDs failure modes and mechanisms, its reliability is a key research issue. Existing methods for LEDs
reliability prediction only consider one failure mode: lumen degradation or color change; however, working with only one
failure mode could limit the scope of the analysis. This paper shows the procedure for obtaining reliability models of white
LEDs through of bivariate copulas, from ''times to failure'' taken from the consulted literature. The results obtained show that
the best fitting copula model, according to the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) is the Clayton copula, whose Kendall
correlation coefficient indicates that the characteristic parameters ''lumen maintenance” and ''variation of chromaticity
coordinates'' are not completely independent.
