Análisis del factor de Carter en sistemas diente-ranura mediante simulación FEMM y evaluación numérica con MATLAB
Analysis of the Carter factor in tooth-slot systems using FEMM simulation and numerical evaluation with MATLAB
Abstract
The present study addresses the analysis of the Carter factor in tooth-slot type magnetic systems, using a combined approach of numerical simulation via FEMM software and computational analysis with MATLAB. Two types of systematic comparisons were carried out: in the first, the tooth width was kept constant while the air gap width was varied; in the second, the air gap width was fixed and the tooth width was modified. In both cases, the Carter factor was evaluated using both analytical methods and numerical simulations. The results were processed and visualized in MATLAB, enabling a detailed analysis of the differences between the two approaches. The generated plots reflect the behavior of the magnetic flux and its sensitivity to geometric variations, thus providing a solid foundation for optimizing the design of electrical machines. The study demonstrates the usefulness of integrating numerical and analytical tools to improve the accuracy of magnetic modeling.
