Impact of Artificial Intelligence on ETECSA's energy carriers
Abstract
The interconnection of photovoltaic installations to electrical systems requires tools for predicting electricity generation. Advance knowledge of electrical power generation allows for better planning for photovoltaic park operators and those of the National Electric Power System. With the aim of contributing to the planning of energy carriers for the Cuban Telecommunications Company S.A., the author's general objective was to develop a tool based on artificial intelligence techniques in the Matlab program to predict daily electricity generation from the photovoltaic system installed in one of its Call Centers based on meteorological variables: ambient temperature, relative humidity, cloud cover, wind speed, and solar irradiance. The network results were validated by comparing them with experimental data, and obtaining statistical indicators considered satisfactory for this type of tool.
